    Chief Ikechukwu Joseph Ukaegbu (Ikenga Ikeduru) has emerged the governorship candidate of Labour Party Imo State.

    A native of Inyishi in Ikeduru Local Government of the state, he is a management scientist and business man with a versed exposure.

    He was the governorship candidate of NDP in 2007 elections and enjoys a lot of good will as a result of his passion for human capital development.

    Chief Ukaegbu who believes that his governorship ambition was on the prompting of the Holy Spirit is married with children hopes anchor his administration’s programmes on “AIR” (Agriculture, Infrastructure &Re-orientation) if he wins the governorship election.

    According to him, his international network is on stand-by to bring about an industrial and economic revolution that will clip the massive rural migration in the state. He also insists that power supply must be a compulsory dividend of democracy. Security of lives and property shall be a top priority to encourage investments and tourism.

    Ukaegbu believes that the rule of law shall be observed in every undertaking of his government adding that discovering and sponsoring talents in sports and education will enjoy adequate attention.

    Efforts will be mounted towards discovering the potentials of Imo state in mineral resources and deploy them into the development of the state.

    The candidate also places premium on welfare of workers and pensioners whose payment, he promised shall be treated as first-line charge.

    It is Ukaegbu’s considered view that okigwe zone shall partner with him by picking Bright Nwelue from Ezeoke-Nsu in Ehime Mbano as his running mate.
